Glenamaddy Tidy Towns are delighted to put on public display the Glenamaddy Town Plan, recently designed by Cunnane Stratton Reynolds, Landscape Architects. The Tidy Towns group were successful in securing funding under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2018 for the commissioning of this Town Plan and following its recent completion the plan now goes on public display for a period of 4 weeks for observations, comments and feedback. The plan can be viewed from Monday November 9th in McDermott’s Shop window, Church Street, and also on Glenamaddy Tidy Towns Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/Glentidytowns/.
Great news for Glenamaddy as Glenamaddy Tidy Towns group have been successful this year in securing funding of €25,000 under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2020 to carry out improvements to The Square in Glenamaddy Town. The group wish to thank Galway County Council and local public representatives for their assistance and support for this project.
The receipt of this grant is dependent on provision of matched funding of 10% from the community. So, the Tidy Towns group must now fundraise €2,500 in order to get the work done. They would greatly appreciate the support of the community in this year’s Christmas Draw and lines are available to purchase in all retail outlets in the town. Thanking all for your support.
