Fundraising Event
4Ball Champagne Scramble
Friday 17th & Saturday 18th September 2021
in Mountbellew Golf Course
Glenamaddy Boyounagh Heritage Project is engaged in the recording and preservation of various aspects of our parish heritage. The work of the Project is ongoing and whereas a lot has been achieved over the past seven years, for example, a parish heritage book has been published, a heritage website launched and a genealogical database established, more remains to be done.
We are pleased to have acquired the use of the old Clondoyle National School premises at a nominal annual rent of €1 and we are in the process of carrying out repairs and converting it into Glenamaddy’s Heritage Centre with the support of the community and the generosity of benefactors. To finance the necessary work and cover the operational costs of the Heritage Centre a fundraising initiative in the form of a 4Ball Champagne Scramble is being organised in Mountbellew Golf Club on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th September 2021. See accompanying poster for details.
The members of Glenamaddy Boyounagh Heritage Project would greatly appreciate your support.

Glenamaddy Boyounagh Heritage Project Table Quiz 2019
Thanks to the quiz enthusiasts who braved the very challenging weather conditions on Friday 26th April 2019 to take part in Glenamaddy Boyounagh Heritage Project (GBHP) Table Quiz in Jim Pete’s Pub. Understandably, numbers were down due to Storm Hannah which disrupted travel arrangements countrywide that evening but those who attended didn’t let the weather dampen their spirits and everybody enjoyed the event. High scores, reflecting experience, expertise and well-balanced teams left the outcome in doubt right up to the final round. Thanks to Jim Keaveney for placing his facilities at our disposal and for sponsoring a set of trophies for the winners. Thanks also the members of GBHP for sponsoring prizes. Congratulation to the Winners from Williamstown and the Runners-up who hail from Glenamaddy and well done to all participants and organisers. Kevin Keaveney on behalf of GBHP was on hand to make the presentations to captain Leo Finnegan representing the winning team and captain, Anne Davis, representing the Runners-up.
